Dermal Filler
Dermal fillers in the face can help to enhance and balance facial features by adding volume and definition. They can also help to reduce the appearance of lines and smooth the skin. Treatable areas include:
- Cheeks
- Nose (Liquid Rhinoplasty)
- Jaw
- Chin
- Nasolabial (nose to mouth) Lines
- Marionette (mouth to chin) Lines
- Perioral Lines (Smokers Lines)
Filler Packages (Lip Filler included. Russian Lips is an additional £10. Tear Trough not included)
The area is numbed using topical anaesthetic before carrying out the treatment to reduce any discomfort. The filler also contains lidocaine which helps minimise pain.
The body breaks down the filler over time and so results can last anywhere between 6-18 months depending on factors such as the client’s metabolism rate and age.
The area will be swollen and may possibly feel sore and/or bruise. Swelling can take up to two weeks to fully subside.
- Cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Must be aged 18 or over.
- Any known allergies to fillers or lidocaine.
- Avoid putting pressure on the areas – be mindful when sleeping to avoid leaning on the face, try to sleep on your back for the first week.
- No makeup for 48 hours.
- Allow at least two weeks after treatment for any facial treatments (microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, chemical peels, laser therapy, facial massage).
- Avoid alcohol for up to 48 hours before and after treatment to reduce the chance of swelling and bruising.
- Avoid strenuous exercise for 72 hours.
- No sunbeds or swimming for one week post-treatment whilst the injection sites heal.
- Avoid high temperatures such as steam rooms or saunas for 48 hours as these could make swelling worse.
